Introduction to the First Episode of "International Real Estate Agent Podcast (IREAP) - Starting the Journey with Jason P Jordan (My Story):
The question on my mind is this: How can someone leverage their language skills and cultural connections to fast-track their journey to becoming a dominant real estate agent, both locally and internationally? Over the past two decades, I've been on a quest as a serial entrepreneur, searching for shortcuts in various industries.
In the end, they all shared one common element – finding the right experts to guide me through the secret shortcuts. As Tony Robbins wisely puts it, "Model What Works!" My journey started in the late '90s when I joined my first network marketing company while completing my final year at the University of North Dakota. I faced initial struggles but found the right mentors who eventually led me to moderate success.
Two decades later, these mentors provided me with the secret blueprint to develop a network of over 200,000 partners worldwide – international expansion using technology and relationships. After getting married, relocating overseas, and starting a family, I ventured into consulting, which later evolved into a marketing and publishing company.
Once again, it was mentors in the marketing space who helped me create my first #1 International Bestseller, "Personal Online Promotion." The successful launch of that book paved the way to expedite my path to securing paying clients. People started reaching out, seeking guidance on how to write and launch their own books. To date, I've assisted over 350+ business owners in becoming bestselling authors by leveraging their own expert secrets. I learned a valuable lesson during this time – you must provide value before you become valuable. In 2018, I yearned to venture into real estate investing.
Inspired by Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad," which I read back in college, I knew I needed mentors to guide me. After three months of consulting with two of my mentors, I found my path forward. I invested in courses on wholesaling real estate, spent $1500 on Facebook ads, and sealed my first deal, yielding a profit of $14,593.
Remarkably, I accomplished this while residing thousands of miles away from the transaction's market. I recognized the potential to replicate this success with marketing technology, provided I had a local partner for scaling. I successfully persuaded one of my mentors to join me, and today, these deals are routine.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I stumbled upon an opportunity to expand my real estate business globally. After months of meticulous research and conversations with industry experts, I decided to team up with my father, Patrick J Jordan. Together with my long-time mentor and friend, Marty Turner, we established the Legends International Team, brokered by eXp Realty, also known as LiT. Currently, I have the privilege of leading this team as its President & CEO.
LiT operates in 13 countries worldwide, with real estate agents closing multiple deals every month. Now, the pressing question for me is, how can I help more agents and brokers navigate the landscape of international real estate, increasing their transactions locally and internationally to boost their commissions?
